What to Expect...
Stretch Fabrics are so fashionable and easy to wear but can be scary stitch!
The Stretch Fabrics Course teaches you to work with these with confidence. You will spend the day making the Lennox Sweatshirt from Tessuti Patterns. Sewing this Sweatshirt will incorporate all the techniques you will need to work with stretch and knitted fabrics in the future.
We will learn everything from which needles to which stitches to use. You will learn how to get a professional finish, using different tools to make your life easier.
The lennox sweatshirt is a really stylish, boxy fit sweatshirt with a drop sleeve. This pattern is great for learning lots of new techniques which are found in lots of stretch fabric patterns. From a self made bias edge to optional twin needle stitching. You can even choose a v-neck or a colour blocked version too.
You need to be confident working with non-stretch fabrics and using a sewing machine.
Your sewing machine must have a stretch stitch option – if you are unsure just email us a picture of your machine stitch options – or let us know if you want to borrow a machine.
You will also need to purchase the Sewing Pattern (details sent on booking) and your fabric. We will send all the information over when you book to make this easy.
You will go home with a sweatshirt which is handmade by you, and fits perfectly. You will get useful handouts so you after the course you will be able to refer back to them and make more!... this is a pattern we have made over and over again.

The classroom is at the top of a set of stairs and so is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
We have access to small kitchen facilities and toilets.
